Yeah richuser, that seems right. I have never tried it with the other products. All the ones I have tried are 'make money' programs
reliable1... If you have it, watch Lady and the Tramp... the brown dog says, "My grandpappy ... old reliable" over and over again it's hilarious. Your nic reminded me of that lol Anyways, I think it's great that you're having success like that. I read in Perry Marshall's "Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords" that the more precise and targeted your ads are the more likely to get conversions. Sounds to me, that by using the title of the product, you're garanteed that your traffic is looking for what you are selling. Your backend bonus is a great "buy from me" addition. More marketers should take notes of this way of selling because it does convert as your thread so proved. Congrats.
A couple questions: 1) Do any Clickbank merchants have a restriction against bidding for keywords on their trademarks? So many other aff. merchants do which is why this technique is not used with every merchant. 2) Are there any other affiliate networks that don't have blanket restrictions against bidding on merchant trademarks? Linkshare has a blanket restriction and I thought CJ did...
parkaboy, your answers: 1) No restrictions in clickbank 2) Physical product based networks do have some restrictions. CJ does not have a blanket restriction, its specific to the merchant. I guess over 70% will not allow bidding on brand names
For newbies:this is not idea, this is marketing. It works and it will work forever. It's not some kind of a secret. You do some research, you spend some time thinking and learning, stay off "get rich quick" stuff and you will start making money in no time. You don't have to be rocket scientist.
It's a game.If you don't set your mind to it,you will lose. The worst is if you think that you can't make money on internet.
Does this basic method of bidding on product names work on the content network as well or just for search? Obviously, someone who's searching for Product X is likely to buy Product X. But what about someone who just sees the link on a website? Curious b/c content network is so much cheaper and often vaster.
So far,i don't play with content network.I just turn it off.Maybe it works for some niches, but you need to spend a lot of time blocking some not converting websites.
I prefer YSM over Google and MSN.For Google you can't just upload 50k keywords and start deleting non converting keywords over time. You need to have more targeted keywords for Google.
Wow. that's awsome. I tried clickbank and adwords and cj as well but i ended up loosing so much money. I even tried to follow exact procedures outlined in an ebook and still no luck. oh well.... i spent countless number of hours ...and still nothing ... i felt so stupid..
Yes trademark bidding is typically an issue of the merchant's particular rules in their TOS. IMHO for lots of reasons I tell my affiliate that Clickbank is the absolute worse place for a newbie to start off - especially make money products. (I have a big 3 page thread about all the reasons at my forum if anyone is interested.) PPC Classroom just launched today (info i my sig) and Jeremy Palmer, the "MillionDollar Affiliate" that made $1.3 MILLION doing PPC last year didn't use ClickBank, he primarily used CJ affiliate programs.
My one concern with ClickBank is that I would bet there are a lot of returns. I, for one, have returned a lot of the ebooks I got b/c they were not that good. Would I have returned a paper book as quickly? It's just too easy to make a return on a downloadable.
