Update: earnings at just about $150. Haven't added any more videos today. Traffic seems to be keeping up fine. Wish I had tracked traffic since the beginning, so the stats now would be more relevant...

 

Yes my friend. You can do the same with Drupal CMS and some modules. There is a module which does exactly the same (Drupal Contact List Importer). Even to embed the videos is very easy with the help of of modules like Embedded Media Field.

But - and that's the catch - don't expect that a Drupal solution will work for you "out-of-the-box". If you have no coder skills it will eventually be tricky.

Did you guys know the free script from Plaxo.com, which let's you import your contacts from gmail, yahoo, outlook etc. into a text field (mail-to)? In combination with a "Tell-A-Friend" script it could be very useful!

The sharing options is the #1 in video sharing sites, but I can hardly believe you made 40$ under 18 hours, that only could happen if you had over 150.000 visitors to your site which I bet has not happened. I own some video sharing websites, with a grand total of 1 million monthly visitors. You`ll be amazed to see my earnings, they are around 800$ across all the video sharing sites. The click are very low averaging 0.08 $ a click. There is some math to do if anyone want to see that I am not kidding. Assuming my CTR was 1.4 % which is on normal basis, that would mean 14.000 visitors clicked my ads, and my earnings were 0.08 * 14.000 = 1120 $. Consindering that some of the clicks were not valid , I grand a total of 800 - 900$ a month, pretty low I know. I am spending 100 on PPC, but won`t anymore as I am working on SEO.

I'm skeptical about this script as it is related to scamster mike filsaime.

I was scammed what an embarassment. Read about it here. Btw it is too expensive anyway. May be risky to buy it only to be banned by adsense one week later.

How to avoid the Adsense banning risk...?

As reliable1 said in his starting post - the PPC was just used to get things rolling.

So - set it up with a few videos, by some PPC traffic but don't use Adsense yet!

When viral traffic kicks in: Stop the PPC and start the Adsense ads.

Don't you think that would avoid the risk of banning from Adsense?
