How I Made $42 With Adsense In Under 18 Hours

I felt like sharing this... so others can benefit. Its very easy, but you will need to buy a script.

Here's what I did - I setup a Wordpress blog and installed the Videographer theme (this is free) on it. It makes posting You Tube videos on your blog a walk in the park. Next, I posted about 10 funny videos (funny ads, banned commercials and the likes) on my blog.. all from youtube.

Then I installed the ViralInviter script (this you have to buy) on my blog. This script allows your website visitors to invite all their address-book contacts in 2 clicks. You may have noticed this on Facebook, Orkut etc. I placed the link to the invite feature below each video.

Now, I needed to feed the blog with some initial visitors. I used a combination of PPC and some Web 2.0 submissions to drive about 200 visitors to the site. That's it...

These 200 visitors used the invitation script generously to drive more traffic to my blog, and the cycle continued. I just had to ensure that the videos I posted were really funny - something you will share with your friends.

In under 18 hours, my Adsense account showed $42 - hooray! I can't share the url of my blog because it might be against DP TOS. But I hope I did a good job at explaining what I did.

Question, you said you used PPC. How much did you spend?

Mate of mine always says "To make a million with Google Adsense you need to spend 10 million"

Oh, I spent only about 5 bucks on PPC. Bid on 5 cent and less keywords.

 

I think it's not as easy as it seems...Eventually you will need to find the right video and somehow how do you work on to ensure every visitor that arrived via your ppc campaign will want to viral spread your video site. Anyway, just keep us updated on the progress.

 

Hi lycos, of course not everyone invited friends. About 4-5% visitors did. But some of them invited their entire address book of 300 names or so. That made a difference.

I bought it for $149.... but I use it on many websites. So for me, it is a good investment. Can't say for others

site using youtube content will be punish by google soon. and the money to spend on ppc might not worth the result you will get. Just think this way may not work for me but it might be useful for other people. nice post. rep added.
