I have been marketing on the Internet for about 2 years on and off but over the last 8 months I have made a serious effort to market on line. Last week I joined a new program that has just launched. I have done my usual things to market the program set up a ppc campaign created a squeeze page with a free giveaway and I did something radical..... I asked for the subscribers telephone number....Phoned them up and sold some products. It was fantastic being able to speak to different people around the world and helping them to hopefully make money with an online business... I now have someone to talk to in this insular business..
What an interesting twist on things, Mike. How many people did you manage to call over the 5 days, and is this giveaway in the IM niche? Also, did you use a voip service like Skype to make your worldwide calls?
Interesting! I am quite surprised that they give their phone number so willingly. I have some bad experience with telemarketers from China. I doubt I will give my telephone number so easily.
If you can get people to give you their number, you have a higher chance of more easily and quickly bypassing their many objections and fears. But you need to have confidence and necessary communication skills. But it is hard to get people to give their number. You need them to have a lot of trust in you before they give it to you. Next step, travel to people's homes and sell products. That's real old fashioned for ya.
Congratulations! Now just multiply that method, spread out and automate. It will get very easy from then on.
Yes, I was kind of wondering too. I just do not want to imagine how high that phone bill must be. And I also want to know how he was able to market to people who can't speak English fluently? Very unlikely. Especially with so many paranoid about identity theft, I really doubt that there are that many people willing to give out personal information or phone number so easily. YEP... I bet the traveling expenses will far exceed the $300 in five days he claims to have made. These are the types of promises that make people skeptical about trying out any particular product or technique. NOW, mind you, at least it said something way below a decent salary. I mean $300 in five days can be made earning minimum wage in the states, but still, the telephone thing just does not cut it for me. SORRY!!!
Wow thats impressive but its hard to get numbers off the internet. Let us know how it goes in the future.
If people knew just how much more money that they could make just by talking to prospects, they would be amazed!
Just thought I would update. Before I asked for tel. no. my landing page converted at 44.8% upon reflection after asking for tel. no it now converts at 38.6% (this morning). However I have made more money this last week than I have over the last few months I am going to try a slightly different approach with my landing page and try to capture phone numbers in a different way so that my conversion rates return to 40+%. I will update. But Ido still want to speak to my list...Yes I must be mad...Not really
it is your bright success with real phone calling to them. However, i think it would be a bit bad cuz we need spending much time and money on it. Sometime we even cant sell a product. i appreciate if you could do it.
Just wanted to post an update: As a result of picking up the phone and working my on-line business in a different way I have made over a $1000 in my first month and this has come from several sources. The bulk of my income has been derived from my main business but a proportion of my income has been derived from affiliate programmes that I offer, a training programme and a few esentials such as Aweber, GoDaddy & Hostgator. I have never received any significant sign ups to these programs until I picked up the phone and I think the reason why this is. I am able to direct people personally and give them the advice that they need without all the B.S. ans Hype that you often get from online marketers (WarriorForum members are the exception) . Because of the relationships I forge I am starting to get feedback from the people that I have sold to and these people have started to make money. What a great feeling knowing that you have had a positive impact on a persons life. There are some pros and cons: The Pros. I enjoy my business more as a result of speaking to people. People are more likely to buy other products from me because they trust me. I have less refunds as a result of people buying the correct product. I have developed more skills as a result of learning from my customers. AND obviously Higher Earnings. The Cons Slightly bigger phone bill. You have to be careful of the product you offer as some of the posts allude to above and ideally you need a product with a residual income element. This month I expect my income to double without doubling my expenses and for it to grow over the next few months as we roll out to new countries. But thats it.... My only advice that I can give is, if you have an ethical product and and you have the ability to communicate with people....Get on the phone you won't regret it
