I agree 100% and will add that this is the sort of thing that happens when the perceived value of a website is limited to its PR

 

Just keep in mind that Google PageRank and Alexa are great tools for finding the advertising value of a website, they are not 100% accurate and should only be used for a rough estimate.

 

Wouldnt consider looking at alexa, only check you pr. its the pr thats worth the $ in my eyes

The best is sitepoint.com - fo marketplace : you should be registered to make bids , so your activity would be represented in trust % . To sell something you pay for the thread started . Read about sitepoint at my blog .. just so I won't rewrite everything . http://danielfive.com/

Another free like to sell or buy website is http://warriorforum.com/
Nothing to special but it gets high exposure on your thread and shows a good search option.

Third I like is uor won dp ... the buy sell trade section , it's free , esy too mentain sells, but you won't ever be sure on a client to buy your product even bidded - not like on sitepoint , which is actually made for it and has a cool bidding system .

 

But remember, never publish the url of your website in the selling links thread , google will kill you rank....happened to me .
