It sucks to be a pay per click marketer driving traffic to a server that went offline while you were sleeping and your monitoring service didnt work... DOH. I lost $400 bucks while I slept last night driving traffic to a dead server. (I was hoping to hit around $3k in commissions today) Help make me feel better... What is your worst day of pay per click losses?
I hope you feel better. I've never had a bad day of click losses. Know why? I don't use CPC. Google is your friend. Optimize your page for it, and you'll never have to pay a cent.
i've been wondering why your website was down i remeber the another day paul(ubberaff) had the same trouble and your suggest him a good hosting, at seems the unique secure is that is nothing is secure, hopefully we find some good services, i remember that your said the your hosting when has so much traffic produce an reboot, at seems in this ocassion shuld be an hard disk - hardware damage, ¿do you know what happened???
Haven't used it because of your experience. Don't have the funds to play around with. Hoping to build up then add that on later... Any suggestions you may give would I am sure be helpful.
My brother lost 15,000$ over 2 months when google release their "ad network". Some day he went into his account and saw he lost 15k... Shit happens...
we wrote some in house scripts that would pause campaigns if servers were down. I am surprised some of the ppc software management does not have this.
While it may not break my bank I would have rather spent the $400 on guitar hero or rock band or something fun
Once,while i was sleeping ,my host went down and all,ALL my website,all 20 of my beautiful money making website went down. If i had gun at the moment i would shot myself in the leg just to feel better. You can imagine the content of my email when i was quiting from the host. I change to hostgator and everything is OK so far. Also, once i lost $150 in half hour on one keyword.It was something like "baron marquis" or similar. Yahoo did some story about this guy and it was on the front page for 25-30 min.It happened that i have this keyword in one of my campaigns and when i check the stats it was too late.The worst thing is that i didn't have not even one lead with the keyword.

I like the shoemoney answer, but i don't have any idea about how implement a script that can stop campaign, because it should be communicate with adwords api, and this is a obscure part to me, but how we to know if the server is down is completely feasible in php
So you think that if you are making more money than $400 is worth less than $400? This is serious money, it doesn't matter if you make them in an hour,day or month.If you put this money in PPC you will make double,than double that again,now $400 is $1600 if you understand how this works.
