I think First you must check that the template you downloaded is designed well or it is broken . Than you can get good template for you . After that create sitemap for your blog and submit it in webmaster google system . than promote your blog where ever you can and post good articles . Blogspot.com is really very hard to be indexed in Google, you should do link building a lot for it and consider changing template of the page an put any costume template that would be good I think!
