Ok guys, As i dont have a informative webpage but more on a forum, I've managed to get the daily revenue from $15/day to $40/day. I do not know if it's a big amount for forums out there with over 40k members but here is how i do it. First of.. the prove.. Increasing Page impression = Increase Clicks. First of, I've increased the place for ads to be shown in the forums, which includes adsense links without text on the first of the post. More like blending in the first post with adsense. Trick is to place ads where their eyes are looking... Secondaly, for vbulletin forum owners only as i uses vbulletin, I've also added Ads on the shortcut links on the top of the pages where people click to go back to the menu etc etc. Example: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Go Back Community Portal > Heartland > Keeping In Touch! > xmas gift ideas Ads By Google UK Dad Xmas Cheap Gifts Gift Ideas Japan Gifts ----------------------------------------------------------------------- As many users use this link to go back to the menu, i've increased awareness of ads from here as well. I'm still looking for more ideas to help increase the revenue of my forums and i've just used adblacklist to filter out MFA sites to my forums. that's good earnings, but i think still you can make better CTR, if you try new things, try again with other ad formats, change the color and i think with this impressions you'll get some more clicks and earnings...
hmm i tried changing the ad color but i think what work best is blue link and grey text and white background... very plain and simple.. seems to be very effective...
I agree. With 40k users you should be able to increase that number by a significant amount. Keep playing with your ads until you find the best placement. 40k users gives you a good amount of people to test with. Good luck.
If you have over 40K members and you're only making $40/day, that's not good at all. Look into adding affilaite links to your site and selling ad space either via Adbrite or by yourself. Also, try to find a CPM network that allows their banners on forums (Tribal Fusion allows this). Really, $40/day for that many members, and I'm guessing impressions in the 10s of 1000s a day, is really under achieving.
ahh you see.. it's a very wierd community that dont usually clicks on ads or banners.. unless it's intresting.. seems like some ads dont relate to the content that they have posted hence most of the time they just ignore the ads...
