do not simply post your links in social bookmarking sites, rather participate in groups & comment on others post, do it naturally
Understand your niche well and categorise if your niche belongs to market or niche or microniche.Then have a look at the competing sites and optimise your keyword and category keywords as well.You will get ample amount of traffic from google.
The work needs dedication. Keep going posting the way you do and it will start showing results after couple of weeks or sometimes couple of months.
thanks for the tips. i tend to post on twitter alot, and try and advertise on various forums. but ill try some of the other techniques posted in this thread.
If you want some quick traffic, I would suggest pay-per-click if you have money. Start out with Adbrite, then move up to adwords when you're more comfortable. Another way that I would recommend is blackhat internet marketing for quick traffic, and easy money.
try to get organic traffic (traffic from search engine) how to do that?? if you have already doing some link exchange(it means you are in a process of building your links popularity), you need other factors to get decent amount of visitors from search engine, which is Keyword Choosing, at the beginning you should try to choose keyword (that fits to your niche/topic) then you have to choose the low competitors keywords. If your page listed at least at the first page of that keyword search, then you get organic traffic automatically.
