How I got the #1 position in Yahoo.com...

I've found that if you just concentrate on Google........Y! eventually falls into line.

I rank on the first page results at the top on many of my keyword terms in Yahoo. Most results average around 16,000,000. I have noticed that many of the pages listed are just product names over and over. I pay them $299 a year to be listed in the directory. Suppose that helps quite a bit. I was on the top of Google for my main keyword and it had 67,000,000 results. Then I obviously suffered a penalty over a year ago and have been unable to recover since. I used to get 1500 visitors a day from Google. Yahoo only provides about 300 visitors. I only optimized for Google for my site.

 

Is this site trust worthy though? It seems kinda sketchy cause they are asking for MYSQL password and stuff.

Feb 2009 search stats for "link exchange service":

Google 48,200,000
Yahoo 317,000,000
Msn 46,700,000

 

ainmohd, are those stats you just posted the number of search results??

the number of search results is far different from the number of times someone searches for a given phrase.

Adding quotes around the keyword shows true competition

Results 1 - 10 of about 175,000 for "link exchange service" on google.

I.E> not competitive

I.E> no business

 

what made you say "i am trying to get my site no 1 for some keywords are seo services but still i am unable to get top position" here the question arises did you made any hard work behind that keyword did you see what is the competition of that keyword ?

I used to be number one in Yahoo for some keywords when I first started my site, perhaps Yahoo likes new sites? I have worked a lot harder to do the same in google

to get first page in yahoo ranking, u need to have good onsite optimization with quality content
