Congratulations! That is really great that you got that many links showing in Google within 1 month. I guess Google does love Blogs if they accept their links that easily.
Thanks everyone well currently the online link feature in google webmaster tool showing me enormous links...are they all counted:O Holy crap..it shows 17K ++ links :O:O
Not true at all. I can show you hundreds of examples where PR4 and under are ranking higher in SERPs then PR5 plus pages. PR does not equate directly to SERP.
Sweetfunny did you read my post correctly..When u r competing for same keyword with other high PR sites...they rank higher. its quiet obvious that if you have a unique keyword, you will rank no1 since no one else with a better PR has that keyword.
You don't understand, PR does NOT directly equate to SERP. Ok, using your example of a highly competative search term explain why a website totally devoted to say "Credit Debt" has a subpage of PR3 ranking higher for the search term "credit debt" then their PR5 main .com? Heck, about 15 minutes ago i searched for info on a piece of software i have.. lets call it "xyzsoft". Their website is xyzsoft.com and is a PR4, yet when i googled the term "xyzsoft" guess what came up 8 places higher in the SERP? A PR0 forum thread from their support forums. Right here's another for you. Google the term "search engine" - 215,000,000 results. #1 freefind.com - PR9 #2 searchenginewatch.com - PR8 #3 search.msn.com - PR9 #4 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine - PR7 #5 dogpile.com - PR8 #5 Google.com - PR10 (a strong one at that going by subpage PR) With your theory, Google should NOT be getting beat by PR7 pages. Would you like another 10,000 examples or do you see what i'm saying is true now?
Not to get off topic (sorry) congrats on the achievement, great PR boost in the short timeframe. A jump like that reminds me of the Nigritude Ultramarine SEO comp we done a while back.
You buried the reason for your PR. While good content leads to good return readers it would be incorrect to say good content (guarantees) gives you good PR. You got good PR from the high PR links that you exchanged. Your good content likely attrated them so you could do the link exchange. But if you had the EXACT same content and you linked up with some PR1 or PR2 sites you would not have gotten a PR5. Key point is the INDIRECT PR benefit. Good content attracts people and hopefully they have some nice PR when they link up with you. Looks like you are headed in the right direction with the content so you're already doing good. Keep up the good work.
not always. For example I have a site thats PR4 and never gets updated. It gets feeds but I rarely put a unique article up. It ranks in the 40s on G and msn bit is out of the top 100 on yahoo. Actually I negelct the site so much I just found out its rank in msn. I really need to work on it but I have no desire, no revenue at all. There has to be a reason for that but I haven't tested new stuff in a while. For example the last article I posted was on the 28th of january. The one before that was on the 24th of january. and the one before that was on the 11th of january.
Sweetfunny, Thanks for that. your post was illustrative enough.Maybe i was wrong..no yah i was wrong.. When i was reading matt cutts about PR, he mentioned that Pr changes everyday and the changes happen regularly..so really we cant worry about it too much. Its just an indication about how good our site is..but thats it. anyways for one of the highly searched keywords i am now in Top10...surprising enough...anyways let me drink that G juice before it goes away! but then whats with the PR?
