There's been a lot of talk about submitting your blog for reconsideration after you've been penalized by Google for selling your page rank. Google slapped my blog with a BIG FAT ZERO PR a month ago. Fortunately, I got my page rank back in less than 1 week. http://www.bloggingmix.com/2008/03/16/how-get-google-page-rank-back-nofollow-links-advertisers/ To get your PR, you need to do more than just submit your blog for reconsideration. You can find out how I did it on my post. Here's a summary of what I did. 1. Made links on all sponsored posts "nofollow". This is a must to inform Google that you're serious. Consequence? Lesser sponsored post offers. 2. Made all links to advertisers (125x125 banners etc.) "nofollow". 3. Submit for reconsideration. Check out the post for more detailed explanation. Good luck and hope you get back your PR soon.
I know you need visitors to your blog but a better way to make friends in this forum when you only have 99 post is to post some of the advice in the forum not just a link to your post... welcome anyway
Dude, this forum is not like digg, where you submit links to stories on your website. I think you must have confused the websites.
Oki i saw the post and i am sure if you put in no follow links to all your paid post maybe Google will take you back BUT will PPP and SR let you post new reivews? I do not think they allow you to have no follow links? and a quick check on the PPP blog says this "Right now, the only time you can "no follow" a link is if an advertiser requests it."
Try to get maximum links as many as you can get with proper anchor text, In the forums related your niche. DP links are also appreciated by Google and Yahoo site explorer.
I also lost my page rank from PR3 to 0 as i was involved with payperpost and reviewme, i immediately used nofollow to all my links and requested for reconsideration 2 times in last 3 months but still no sign of reconsideration. I will give it a try again with your methods and lets see if it works... Thanks...
I guess you need to compromise, in my case, I decided to get back my PR. The consequence is apparently lesses review opportunity. But then, I got my PR back so that should make things better. Regarding "NoFollowing" my sponsored post, I guess these websites aren't getting much link juice since my PR dropped from 4 to 0. Now if I didn't nofollow these links, I'm still stuck with a 0 PR. I only used PPP once. That's a review made about PPP as to all of my other sponsored posts, it was with SponsoredReviews. BTW, thanks for the tip.
Well in your blog post you write as if you can do more get paid to blog work this way but you cant or well you can but then you have to start over.
I still do sponsored posts and still receive offers but I'm more careful this time. I do review for relevant products and sites. I noticed a decrease from offers through review sites but direct requests for a review has increased.
