    Interesting!

Will try the RSS (when I know what RSS means :) )

I am a total newbie but have 19 sites & never had a problem with any getting index & good serp's (for certain k/w). As for "newbie" I type with one finger & cannot write html.

But I bought a PR4 site & then simply feed IBL's to new sites - always indexed within 48hrs. I know cos every new site gets a crazy misspelling eg bbblue widddgeets. I put this into d/p keyword ranking tool & viola when it comes up I know I've been crawled so then check the logs.

As a newbie with very little SEO experience & certainly no credibility it strikes me these days that the SEO expert is struggling to justisty his expertise. I have ranked 1-3 from 40mill results very quickly & held for weeks ( now bombed ) but as long as total idiot SEO webmasters such as me can kill skill how can an SEO expert maintain credibiliy?

Dont get me wrong - I know my sites are flash in the pan serps - but there are hundreds, if not thousands, of "me" entering every day. SE's in the short term do not reward credibilty on middle to low k/w. Okay "widgets" you will not get serp results - but blue, red, crimson, sapphire etc you can shoot to the top with basic SEO skills.

BTW "john loch" - my no.1 from 40mill brought very little traffic from Yahoo - but I reached 35'ish for three days with google & got more traffic.

The rss stuff works. Adding feeds to my yahoo really has its advantages.

I have 230 backlinks as per yahoo while i have 29 in google now. So yahoo updates faster.

What I find bizarre is msnbot and googlebot crawl my site every 48 hours, but yahoo ignores my sites.

And yes, I have about 20 news feeds in one section and my site is always getting new content.

In fact, I have TWO PAGES indexed at yahoo, 23,500 at google, and 6,500 at msn.

    Yahoo hates me. :(

Well, I have several hundred back links and MSN and Google index me every 48 hours or less. Yet yahoo doesn't.

So it's not all about links. There is some other factor..

So apart from blogs this will work for normal syndicated sites (RSS) as well right?

But wouldn't RRSing your new content result in higher PR sites showing it hence you loosing the duplicate content battle?

I have difficulties getting my new site indexed in Yahoo but don't want to hand out copies of my unique pages.

Blog and Ping is officially over. They no longer allow you to do it.
