Nice one. I've learned about that a while ago. I had going 3 blogs, 2 for trying to make some money and one about something i wanted to write (i mentioned this a long time ago, i had a blog on the last 15 days of Germany's soccer World Cup). By when the WC was gone, i've realized that my "crappy" blog (just a fan writing can't be too serious) got me more earnings than the other 2 high paying niche blogs. I think the best way is to write about something you know about and can be of interest, and optimize your blog/site to get a high PR, then you'll get the traffic of people that will be interested in what you write. If people is attracted by your content, they'll start navigating your site, and as more they navigate, there are more chances that they find an ad of their interest, and there goes your earning. As most of DP members suggest, write original content and work hard. You won't be millonaire from one day to another, but it will feel nice to get those bucks out off what you really worked to make...

Like you stated in your last point, it's a blog that is niche specified. In my post I recommend that you don't write something you know nothing about and have no interest in (such as cancer), and write about something you truly love. At the end of the day, everyone would like to make a few bucks from adsense, but it's important that we do it while writing about a topic we're passionate about.
Ok...for example....my site is related to computers. I use Blogger and the site is only about 1 month old. I barely get any traffic. I've been submitting my site to some directories as people from here have suggested. I guess I just need to be more patient but you are saying that you began getting visitors within 2 weeks... It seems odd that your specific niche related site generates guests after just 2 weeks. But I guess if the niche is searched for enough, that would be true. Should I get more specific with my site? Basically, its IT related topics with an emphasis on PC troubleshooting & training. And yes.....this is a topic I love, I currently work in the field and have been for the past 6 yrs....so I feel I know enough to create a good site. Thanks
thanks for the help. i think i added it successfully. Hope this works for everyone else who follows this thread...
i have actually come across a problem, when trying to add my sitemap to Yahoo. they need me to confirm that the website is in fact my own. To confirm this yahoo has requested that i insert a META snippet to the html page. when adding the meta tag i receive this error message. does anyone know how to fix this problem ? From YAHOO To add a META tag to your home page, Copy the META tag listed below and paste it in your site's home page in the first <HEAD> section of the page, before the first <BODY> section. From BLOGGER " Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly. XML error message: The element type "META" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "". "
