Not 100%, but check in Google for "(word) trademark".

This is not as easy as you would like. Some marks are easily searched and found at the US Patent and Trademark Office. Others are registered at the state level. Others are registered in other countries.

More marks are not registered with any government entity, but can still be protected. Which is where a simple Google search on the word is helpful to see how it is being used and who is using it.

First things first, you have to do your homework searching trademarks yourself, then if need be consult lawyer to do trademark search.
The most logical thing to do is search for similar trademarks from US and Europe trademarks office public databases including individual countries.

    check this out: http://corpocrat.com/2007/07/31/how-to-do-a-free-trademark-search/
    Hope this helps

P.S: Never register a domain without doing a basic search for trademark. Allow plenty of time to do research.

Keep in mind that almost all big players have their own trademarks and avoid them at any cost.
