    Hi, you can learn database clearly from text books, related power point presentations. The best author for DBMS is SILBERCATZ.
    You can follow version 3, version 4. The best examples for Basic Query, Types of Joins, Cursors in that book. Fifth edition was little advanced in 3rd,4th. you first follow version 3->4->5. Simultaneously you've to do practical works for DBMS. In SQL database or oracle. For get power point presentations , Search in Google or You tubes.

    Yes offcourse you could learn database. Just search for database tutorials and you will find one of the best tutorials in the world but you must be consistent in learning to finish it on time

    First try to learn basic SQL queries...
    then you can try to learn Oracle further....It will help u a lot in learning databases and managing them...:)
