People on Twitter will follow anyone. They are ridiculously oblivious to who they are following, or why. I swear a thousand black people could be following the KKK, and a thousand Jews could be following Natzi's and neither would ever know it. Here is one I had to share with you: 7831 Folowers Following 8528 People 0 Tweets ....WTF ? How do over 7 THOUSAND people continue to follow someone who hasn't said one freakin thing...EVER ! Here's a link to the profile Just goes to prove that no one on Twitter is paying attention, it's all about getting a big number like some kind of status symbol.
Haha, well put. That's why quality matters and quantity isn't nearly as important. But with so many threads like this floating around, no one seems to get it. -Danielle
Then I think I’m lucky, I have joined twitter 4 months before and now I have 40+ followers but want to increase more
I’m following all the people who are following me but once again I’m asking what twitter chain is? Where I can find out or could you please explain about it little bit?
Well, I was using Twitter Follower of John Chow. And its a good tool as its from a reputed person in the world. - Digital -
1) Follow others they will follow you its a natural phenomena. 2) Increase visibility of your twitter link. 3) Give your twitter link when joining some forum. 4) Make a "follow me" banner or button at your website. 5) Print your twitter link at your contact card.
Provide something. Be useful, get RT-ted by users with loto of followers and some of their followers can start following you too. Also it would be good to start following the big names in your niche (some might follow you back) and keep an eye on their tweets. I've made 1500+ real organic followers by subscribing to the RSS feeds of several hot blogs (twittling the newest and freshest stuff) and RT-ing the big and well known guys.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, do not buy followers. It is the biggest waste of money ever. And software to get more followers is just not effective and won't help you in the long run. The ONLY effective way to get targeted followers is naturally. -Danielle
Why would you buy followers on Twitter ? Everyone follows everything. Just follow a few hundred people (slowly) that "seem" to be in the same niche , or interested in the same things, throw out a few interesting and informative Tweets everyday, create a custom background with a well written bio, and link to a good website or blog (that is not a spam or MFA site), and people will start following you. It's really not that hard unless you are constantly promoting your own stuff all the time, spamming the site, or retweeting the same sales pitch constantly...but even those people get followers. If you are actually participating in Twitter, it's not hard to get followers. Heck, there's people out there with absolutely ZERO tweets that have more followers than some of my accounts with 7-10 tweets a day.
I don't think that there is any quick and dirty way to find quality followers. We have to remember that each account is a person - not a robot (as far as i know ) and that if you can naturally seek out and add people that are interested in following you this is your best bet. You also have to convince people that your tweets are interesting enough to follow
Post quality tweets, follow those people that can be considered to their field and most importantly-DONT SPAM!
This I have done before but I think it will not give you many followers accept following many without any reason. -kmamaji-
My Twitter experience went to a whole new level when I actually started engaging in the community. I started tweeting back and forth with people I liked that had good followings and they would tweet my username out and I would get more followers. Taking part in the community will make you a valued member of the community. To those of you who get follows through chains and auto-following and other such things, do you pay attention the 2,000 people you're following? Why do you think they care about your tweets when they are following you just to get more followers like you are? Quality is everything. What good is having a lot of followers if they're not actually "following" you? Unless you're someone worth following, it doesn't matter what number of followers your Twitter page says you have because I guarantee you they're just ignoring you. You have to contribute to the community if you want benefit from the community.
