    Had an easy time getting indexed in all for my website, not so for the blog. Submitted both to google and yahoo on the websites. Any blog ping service most recommended?

    In Yahoo site explorer there is a place to submit the RSS feed from your site. Its in the same place where you submit your site map. But instead of the site map, you submit the RSS address. You can even submit the site map and RSS for the same site in Yahoo site explorer. If your site map is not going through, try the RSS feed.

    Are you serious? How long do you have to wait to be indexed in Google, if you submit your website through the submission form?
    A few decent links can have a site indexed within 24 hours, often quicker.

    wordpress is the way to get indexed in yahoo..

    use sitemap.xml to let yahoo know

    add ur site in yahoo siteexplorer.. i like it much better. they showed all connected links rather than relevant links, so it's useful to know which sites are truly do-follow as well..if they are wordpress sites or blogger site, u can re-visit and comment them, and u get more relevant links.

    just my 2 cents, but

    sitemap.xml and siteexplorer authentication really works for me.

    now, i got about 10% from yahoo search, thanks to yahoo siteexploerer

    yeah but wordpress generally has a ping utility built into it...however this may only be restricted to Google so this suggestion is very helpful and relevant :)
