This is something that I am working on and I agree with the others in that you should:

-write high quality content
-promote yourself through social media
-join forums that are in your field of interest and follow their rules
-generate an email subscriber list
-give away free items like an ebook or video series

It will take time to get the traffic you need to generate the income you want so keep at it.
