Do both of your computers have Ethernet cards or onbard LAN cards? Do you have a hub or router?

these are the things you need to share files between computers and to be able to configure the network.

If both of your computer is having Ethernet cards on board then you can use Hub or Switch.

Yeah, get a wired/wireless hub/switch and the two machines will be able to see each other. You can then access files and folders on one machine from the other this way either by mapping a drive or using the public sharing folder.

You can also use various free remote desktop tools. I use LogMeIn which allows me to set up all my computers in the account and I can control any of them from wherever I am.

Make a Crossover cable and Connect it to Ethernet Port... Gives IP Address to both PCs, and you are done for basic File Sharing..

its simple. just plug in RJ55 connectors into the two pcs LAN ports with a connecting wire, go to control pannel, select network conections, enable the lan , then right click the lan and edit tcp/ip to assign a port in lan properties,,,,,, i hope then you can easily share things and do multiplayer gamming.............
