Mad4 would you take a small payment for you to give me some of your ideas?

As you might have guessed I'm way to busy to still offer free reviews. I kind of underestimated the demand slightly.....

If you want to pay for an hours consulting it will be £30, or £300 for a full 10 hour report. Otherwise I suggest you subscribe to the blog where I will be offering tips for free.

I am so amazingly out of touch with modern "culture" that I will never be able to create linkbait.

You should create a paid service to create and promote linkbait.

The Tech FAQ could be your first customer. :)

I've always heard that you should generate links slowly. It's not natural for most sites to generate such amounts of links so quickly. I'm glad to hear that it's not true though from this case study.

yes, you should write your keywords in your anchor text instead of
just writing down the url. But as an SEO you know that already (at
    least I think so)

    dear lily,

I checked your site about the #1 ranking for "hot stuff download".

for hot stuff download google shows ca. 36 mil. results. that sounds
very much for the layman. but please, this is not your competition!

type every keyword in quotes, than you get a much better number
for how difficult your keyword is.

for "hot stuff download" in quotes you only get 1420 results, so
this keyword is quite easy to rank high for.

the same is true for your other keywords. "stuff to download"
in quotes only gets 50.000 results instead of 200 mil.

Nevertheless, ranking high for "stuff to download" is not as easy
as the other keyword, thus, here you did your job much better.

The term "hot stuff download" doesn't have enough search volume to show up on any of the keyword tools so you might not get any traffic from it even at number 1.

It's not clear to me from your article or post: which site of yours got 10,000 links in 3 weeks?

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure, because Yahoo had you at around 8,700 today.

Are those del.icio.us tags still bringing much traffic?

Delicious sent a load of traffic at first and then died down. It still sends a bit.

Stumble is the best. Sent 2000 visitors today already and the readers view 1.74 pages on average.

    I agree with Spencer.
A linkbait service (paid) would be nice.

I was originally thinking more in terms of a flat-rate service, but I just signed up for mad4's hourly consulting plan. I could really use 10k more links. :D
