I've been running my blog Make Money Online with Daily Moolah dot Com for only a month, and have climbed up in alexa rankings from +2Million to 436,438 in less than a month!

Hate to rain on your parade but it doesnt take much to get to a 436k alexa ranking considering most of your readers probably already have the toolbar installed. By you visiting your own site increases the rankings as well. When you break 5 digits then start a thread.

Alexa rank is only accurate if you are in the 50k most visited sites and if your website don't target webmasters or early-adopters.

 

Tell me how to get below 100k. Now there's a topic I want to read about. Once I get three months worth of data I should be close.

Guys its really not bad for one month worth of natural traffic using general promotion methods - Let's talk in about 3 months to see where I am

 

I took one of my myspace site last year from 100 hits a day to over 14,000 hits per month using free methods and some newer web 2.0 stuff as well.....that for me was very good and what do you think happend to my sales....yup bang! was awesome. now that has given me a great product, coming soon, I really love helping people who are struggling, because for a time I was one of them. I go about creating stuff that I wish I had around me when I was struggling all those years ago.

The secrets to all of this is really Copy, your offer and traffic traffic traffic, they are the three most crutial things to making a killing online, espeically if your into niche marketing.

 

alexa is so easy to get. one of my sites is about 130k and I havn't done anyhting to it alexa related. all of my sites are under 600k and I have never touched them alexa wise. It doesn't mean anything.

My best performing site (about 1000uniques a day), is rated worse than one of my sites that receives about 200uniques a day. Alexa is accurate huh?

 

Yeah.. it's easy to get to around 200k.. or even 100k

 

Install Alexa tool bar. But your site as your home page. Soon, you will crack top 600k in Alexa.

I don't quite get why everyone is being such a hard ass to him. If it makes him happy, cool. If he wants people to check out his post, cool.

 

I'm with you on that. If a person is happy about something they are doing, and it seems to be generating at least SOME results for them - more power to them.

heck, I have a site that gets less than 2 visitors a day and it's at 600,000. I wouldn't be too excited about that as well.

Once you get to 200,000 you'll see that you'll really have to push to boost.

i went from 5 million to 500k in two weeks. I am now down to 200k and my site is less then 1 month old.

 

Everyone has to start somewhere folks, and little successes are what brings us the motivation to keep going on. I'm not really sure what you pundit's hope to achieve, bookmark this thread if you want to - in the greater scheme of things your site won't matter one bit in 3 months, not enough to change anything significant in the tech world.
