Hi everybody When i exchanged link with other site ,then i want something to automatically check my links remain in that site or not. How should i do ?
I just create a spreadsheet and log each URL location where my links are displayed. That way all I have to do is open the spreadsheet and click the links in order to determine if they are still active on that page or not.
Checking the links in an excel file is too much work unless you have like 10 links. I had the same problem before where i couldn't keep track of my links and decided it was time for a little automation I built LinkManager which is both web based and runs as a windows service as well and it emails me whenever my links are removed, modified and no longer active - http://www.gices.co.uk/LinkManager/
I would say the better idea would be to use a script that can check it for you automatically. I have been trying to find one and later on found linksman which is a very easy to use flat file based link manager and checker. You might want to try hotscripts. just search for "link indexing" or "reciprocal links" and you should get many scripts that could serve your purpose.
I am also looking for such a service, but haven't been able to decide which one is most appropriate. Here are the links I came across in my search: (wont let me post live links yet ) advancedlinkmanager.com rankexec.com/linkverifydwnld.htm manageyourlinks.com backlinks4me.com/backlinks4me/backlink-checker.html Alot of these scripts and sites don't make it clear if they just scan for backlinks, or are actively monitoring backlinks that we defined, since we paid for them. If anyone has any more to add, please do.
Fluid, thanks, I did check your site first and registered even, but then it gave an error message: "Your subscription has expired and your account has been placed on hold for the time being. Payment is required to restore service to your account." There was not enough information for me to continue.
I use http://linkguardians.com/ for automatically monitored if link is still on site. If not i get email.... It is free to use... regards, b
