Last month I signed up for just couple of giveaway events and I didnt expected much out of it.
But I was really shocked with the results.

Check the number of notification(new subscribers joining) I recieved from Aweber in just one day
    in the below screenshot.

I'm talking about the JV-Giveaway Events where all the marketers participates and contribute a free gift.
They all do it for the sake of list building.

I'm sure you must have joined one of these giveaway events as a member &
got ton of free gifts from different marketers.

Its a win-win situation for all. The members gets decent products free of cost
and marketers builds their list without spending a dime.

I used to get a lot of invitation of all these giveaway events as a JV partner
but ignored most of them till recently.

Now I also want to share few guidelines, if you plan to build your list this way:

Your Giveaway Gift - This is one of the most critical success factor.
You’re better off creating your own gift so you can give it away in your name and brand it in the process.

If you're using any PLR make sure you make significant changes in graphics, squeeze page etc. to maintain the uniqueness

Also, it should not be already over-exposed & easily available elsewhere like article submitter, link cloaker etc.

Landing / Signup Page - This is the page where your would-be subscribers would go to view the full important details of your gift.

Be sure to include the following details in your landing/signup page:
    • The benefits of your gift,
    • Remind your visitor that he or she is required to sign up to your mailing list in order to download the gift,
    • You will NOT rent, share or sell his or her details away,
    • And that he or she can cancel her subscription at any time!
Gift Image – People DO judge a book by its cover especially online.
Be sure to prepare you gift image at various sizes (large, medium and small) which you will display on the gifts page to entice users & increase your chance of getting them into your list.

Join 2-3 Give Away events that are held at the same time where possible.
Not only can you build your list faster through this leverage, you only need to send one promo email to endorse ALL 2-3 events!

Tracking – It would be really helpful if you have a link tracking in place for both “sending subscribers to the event” and “how many people are clicking through your landing page to see your gift” so you can track the signup conversion rate.

Hope this will help you in your List Building Venture....Good Luck!!

LOL - don't be shunned away... hehe

Hey - do you have any lists of giveaway sites? Or any places where they provide a current update of some that are on offer?

If so, please send me your info :) I would also be happy to chat with you if you want to share a few tips and resources - maybe do an exchange of mail outs?

okay guys...I've added links to recently launched giveaways in my sig.

The RRK Giveaway launched just yesterday....so you can still get tons of value out of it.
You can get the list of other upcoming JV-giveways by joining these.

while it is possible to get mass amounts of subscribers to your list from free giveaway sites, the problem comes in when you try and actually "sell" to them, you know, in between providing them with useful, free content, that is.

guaranteed you'll have your fair share of "unsubscribes" from this method of list building for sure. at least, in my experience that's normally the case.

I always use double-optin to avoid any Spam issue/complaints.

I have been preaching list building for sometime on this forum, yet few seem to listen. Giveaways are great. Also the Warriors Forum is great, but I went ahead
and finally just made my own forum, dedicated solely to list building. Check it out here if you want.

Google Adsense is one of the easiest way to allow webmasters to make money from content websites. You just need to add some simple javascript codes on the web pages, and then when visitors click the ads, you make money. No need to sell and think yourself, Google does all thinking for you. Very easy, right? Google Adsense is really a gold mine.
