The only one I couldn't hear was 22.4kHz, I think it just depends on the quality of the sound card and speakers though.

I can hear CLEARLY the 21.1kHz sound, but NO the 22.4kHz sound,
so I guess the problem is on my sound card because the frequency response of my headphones is: 14Hz ... 26000 Hz

We actually did a proper experiment in a proper studio at uni last year. Because your hearing starts to deteriorate at the age of around 16 older people are less likely to pickup higher frequency sounds. Someone decided to play some frequency at the maximum volume so half of us run out of the studio with a headache and older people stayed because they could not hear anything.

By the way, speaker frequency response is not always accurate. It depends how they measure it.

I could hear up to 18.8kHz. For 19 and 21 I heard my speakers crackle, and for 22.4 I heard nothing.

Heard up to 21.1kHz which I guess really depends on your soundcard and speaker setup.

It didn't matter how high the speaker volume was, I couldn't hear 22.4.

    Interesting test though.
