How helpful is a dmoz listing to a blog???

I just came across the dmoz and was surprised to see my personal blog thats been inactive for quite some days is listed there, i just wanted to know how helpful is it for me as the page its listed on is PR 0.

Seems people are shy to answer this one. The answer is very helpful - not particularly for the PR value but for the traffic and revenue it can potentially attract by being DMOZ listed. If you look in link sales you'll notice that people are always willing to pay that little bit extra for links/posts on DMOZ listed sites too, so that's another reason to be cheerful.

Because your on DMOZ you'll be on Google Directory and any other site that uses the DMOZ data feed.

Seems like i am not into Google dir yet cos i wasnt able to find it.... does listing in dmoz means you get automatically listed into Google's dir because they use dmoz's data?

 

I get ~5 visitors per month from the DMOZ, vs. ~6,000 for Google. Only been listed 2 months, but so far it probably didn't help much (probably will help my PR a little though).
