Generally I found many of DP members are helpful people and willing to help those in needs. For example when a member - (unfortunately I've lost the bookmark of the thread ) said he needs to raise something like $700 - I saw help were pouring. Since I've not followed the thread - I didn't know what happen to the guy. Hope he managed to raise that $700. Unfortunately, the same thing didn't happen to me - whenever I asked for help. It makes me feel so sad. However I've not lost hope in DP - I know people are just try to be careful - not fall to any scam.
It is not advisable to ask for monetary help from people you dont know. Dont tell me you havent any friends in the world.
DP members are helpful with regards to advice - I wouldn't be lying if I said they probably taught me around 95% of what I know about internet marketing and all that
I checked out the thread you mentioned. The services you offered were, I'm sorry to say, not attractive, to say the least. Stumble upon, commenting in sites and forums, installing plug-ins - these are things which you can get done FREE OF COST. Just check out the Freebies section. It's filled tons and tons of such offers. you CAN'T expect someone to pay you $150 for doing this. IMHO, if you had offered some good service, like article writing, web designing, or stuff like that, I'm sure you would've gotten a lot of offers from DP members.
I think the forum has a strong group of people that know their stuff and are willing to dedicate their time and energy for free helping others. What I find annoying is that there are some people who seem to expect that advice to be on tap 24/7 at their demand and can get fairly rude (esp in unnecessary PMs) if you havent answered the question that they posted at 3am within 30 minutes.
I've had some great help here at DP. Your right, generally people are friendly & helpful. You get the occasional person who just wants to prove you wrong but hey, if we all knew everything about web development what would the need be in this forum? I've had pleanty of help and I'm sorry you don't seem to get help Keep webmastering though DP ROCKS!

Thank for reply. Yeah you're probably right - I'll take that. I'm short of $150 - which I still believe I could raise by through the generosity of DP members. Perhaps I need a little bit of luck - still looking for offer here - I'm not giving up hope yet.
I find the DP community members to be extremely helpful. So I try to help them out when I can and it all works out in the end.
well, DP communty helps alot more then money but if you want only money they maybe not helpful...do somework might give alot money...without doing work no money
