I got hammered hard by bourbon. Had a dozen top tens for my keywords for years; now I have one in the top 50. Yikes. Traffic waaaaay down. Depression waaaaay up.

for me the situation still is the very same day after some 10 days now

all the years before i had a steady increase in content pages and thus an increase in top 3 or top 10 SERPS pages/keywords ... hundreds of such pages/keywords ranking top 3-10 all the years in Y, MSN and G ... many/most of them fully disapears OUT of top 100 in G while remaining as usual in Y and MSN.
Google adsense too droped to about 30% of that it used to be the past months.

fortunately these past weeks MSN doubled its site crawl since march and also increased its indexed pages resulting in good SERPS as usual and Y continues to crawl about 3 timemes more than G.

from the search-results quality point of view I find G now a disaster.

another point I notices these past many days.

all the past many monts or years it took G usually an average of 3 days to have found and fully indexed ANY new page i pubished - whiel now after jue 16 it takes more than a week and some of the new content still is missing - only links from within my site or other sites using SSI-newsfeeds from my site show up ... but the G crawl still is exactly same intensity as during good times when it took G only 3 days to have new pages indexed and shoing up in search as good SERPS ...

it almost looks like same efforts on G but FAR less results - almost like BUG or system failure to properly process or so ...

what was actually th eexact date of the last big update ??

may be some of the problems or losses in SERPS have nothing to do with the update ... may be Google had a hacker or system failure and loss or damage of data ??

i guess G never would publicly admit such

the present situation is just very atypical for G

to be honest I don't think its quite over yet but our sites have gained overall, I don't think it is ranking our sites higher (as they haven't changed) but sites above us that were spammy mofo's have vanished meaning we have gained places!

The update has been nice for most of the sites I am working with. I had one get slammed but has been on a steady climb lately. The damage has almost been cleared.

Mine has been hurting for a few months now since Bourbon hit. I'm trying some b/h options since I don't have much left to lose with the overwhelming loss of my site in G.

Didn't see much change until the last 48 hours. All KW's on two small sites dropped out of top 200. My other site which is better optimized has taken a huge hit. I've had many KW's go off the map while retaining most of the stronger ones. PR on a couple pages have dropped to zero.

After losing ground big time for the last 48 hours...I'm back. Gained back all of my losses across the board.

    For what it's worth.

Lost big rankings for big terms and for some reason got my index PR crushed from 4 to 1.

To finalize my earlier report about the losses in G SERPS I recently had and posted earlier here ...

    some current details-update

the near 100% loss of G SERPS that occurred sometime on
    June 15th to 16th
    lasted until
    June 29th
and rapidly recovered to full SERPS the very next days to be back to normal by
    July 4th

the way SERPS disappeared - suddenly ALL SERPS gone to nil from original top 10 on hundreds of keywords within on single moment ...

    gave 2 options
    - penalty
    - db loss

during all the NO SERPS time all the Google crawling was as HIGH as ever before and that is very high - about 3-4 times the number of html pages i have in bot-visits per month on my site

but the way SERPS recovered ...
    slowly step by step
first showing some pages mentioning the page with the keyword - hence a SERPS somewhere around 100-200
next step SERPS 50-100 or so with a page linking (anchortext) directly to the final page
and by the last day the final page with that lost keyword was indexed and shown in SERPS again ...

hence i say that Google was WORKING its own way BACK to regain full db content

this sudden loss and slow climb up in 2-3 steps to normal SERPS lets me very safely assume that G must have had a db loss for whatever reason ...

a penalty would have lasted longer if such ever would be done by G
a penalty would be switched ON and later OFF rather than wasting 10'000 bot visits to regain old status

now after the fun was back and site has G visitors topping again the referrers

    this joy lasted until

    July 21st

then again a sudden drop in G SERPS
this time it looks similar but slightly different
    this time it looks like
many of the SERPS instantly GONE
a part of the db saved in full top SERPS

the SERPS loss lasts on to this day
except that i have still a small percentage of G traffic left ...

current/recent visits by googlebot as seen in
    http://www.kriyayoga.com/webmaster_resources/access.html

let me almost safely exclude any penalty theory of such downs
a penalized domain never would be flooded with Googlebots

leaves me the only opinion that G may have in part of the system a serious apparently recurring problem with db loss.

the good thing of this 2nd G SERPS loss is that substantial part of G traffic loss is compensated by a very solid improve from Yahoo. Yahoo's slurp having started back in April 2005 to be far more frequently on my site than Googlebot .. MSN also has almost caught up with Googlebot activity level.

on another hotel site i manage since recently Y bot and referrer traffic is substantially higher than G.

    G might have a problem
may be the competition is getting so tough among the top SE - and Bill seems to "shower" some of his HW power into indexing that G feels under pressure and does make some solid mistakes in SW or has suffered loss due to hackers or inhouse human errors in handling db / HW ??

having a solid SEO with equal top 10 rankings among all 3 major SE leaves space to sit back and wait until this data loss recovered again. it also shows the importance to push the optimization of submission or indexing of ALL pages by Yahoo and MSN even further. MSN now is actively INVITING to submit missing pages ...
yahoo is trying to catch up
and the happy 3rd party is the surfer
he will get a better service soon

    finally

it would be interesting to see or hear if any OTHER site owner has noticed a very similar behavioral pattern of G traffic or SERPS during the past 6 weeks or so ??

    anyone out there ??

No real change to be honest, however just done a massive update on my site so am going to have to wait and see how this fairs in the next update - whenever that might be.

As everyone says it is just going to have to be persistence and patience!

if u expect any change next time
then you may consider doing YOUR SHARE before next time !!!

    looking at your meta tags:

there is nothing valuable by any SE to find to create a base for UPs and improvements in SERPS or whatever
see your meta title and meta description tags

    content="Korri.net"
    title tag "Korri.net"

and your page title of a domain index FIRST H1 title is

    "Server changelog"...

    next H1 is "info" ...

there is nothing to improve by G ...
because there is simply nothing to find by G to make improvements in serps

content is what creates happiness in G and all other SE ( and humans as well )

    content is created
that's why OUR creator gave us creativity
