I don't really care. That's not a reflection of sour grapes because I've done badly (I haven't), it's that I decided long ago to work my strategies as if high placements on the SE's didn't exist. That way, when a site ranks well in the SERPs, it's a bonus. When it doesn't, it makes no real difference.
One of my sites has tanked and one has slipped down for some minor keywords. I am hoping that the slide isn't setting a trend.
My site was had a PR of 6 and was in the top 10 for most of my keywords. Now it's not even registering! I don't even have a pagerank now. My terms that were coming up #1 arent even showing up in the searches.. I am so bummed. What can I do?
EVER had google not recognize the links back to your site? I have direct links to my site, but I don't see why google doesn't see it.
google doesn't show all the link, doesn't mean they dont see them. Check on MSN for a better listing of links... good luck...
I dropped about 100 positions over night for most KW's on one site. All other sites are doing OK. Will just sit and wait as there's still a lot of difference between the DC's. A the rate their going, this update is going to merge into the next PR update
one of my sites did really well with the update up until about 4 days ago when it completely died in the rankings. what is interesting is one of the keyword phrases i was sort of monitoring (which i had 1 and 2 for) sees the #1 result taken by a page which hasn't existed in well over 3 months. i really have no idea what is going on with google at the moment. also my dmoz listings have dropped from the google directory as it seems to be showing results from about 4 months ago. makes me think something is up with google. hopefully it'll get sorted sooner rather than later
for the first time ever a Google update has resulted in very substantial loss of traffic exactly since late june 15 the traffic has dropped by approximately 35-40 % and that reduced traffic goes on today this is the first time ever a Google update has caused a drop - ALL previous updates have cuased an instant increase in traffic.
I'm starting to get sick of the parked domains showing up as top 10 myself. If I see another "This domain registered at Go Daddy! Check back soon" or some such nonsense, I'll go batty.
I am seeing pages which I deleted 3-4 months ago showing up on the index. My guess is that we are still in a transitionary phase.
Major break through for one of our sites. From nowhere to a first page Google ranking on several different keywords. Traffic has quadrupled in the last week and feeling very happy as i got the feeling that the client was thinking if this was all worth it up to now.
im gaining serp .. but the rankings are just same as those before the drop .. so it's just a revert .. Still waiting for my Oct'04 site to get out of sandbox ..
