    Hello there,

We all know SEO is the cornerstone to extract the profits. But SEO is not as easy as it is spelled:D. It really is a pain in the back when one actually does it.

So how has been your experience doing SEO for your own/client's site?

Which results you obtained and for what keywords? (do not mention your KW's if its a goldmine)

Has the efforts really brought any success in terms of SERPS, Visitors, Sales, Leads??

I am, what you can say, in the nascent stages of SEO where my site is getting something around 20-30 visitors everyday from google & 10-15 from yahoo+msn.

Share your SEO experience. You can also share how you did it.

I doubt anyone will share their keywords :).

I've found that sites I spend time optimizing always make it onto Google's first page even for very competitive keyword phrases. But, that doesn't necessarily mean my income increased. Sometimes it takes targeted advertising to bring in the sales when you're in a competitive niche.

I enjoy seo, maybe its because ive been through all the changes it has gone through in the last 15 years.
I like simple make the page simple put quality content that you spread your keywords out in evenly. have a good meta tag and get backlinks to your site. Then I let it go, I change it up about once every two months and do it again. I don't even necessarily watch where it is at in google after I get it to where I want, as long as the click rate is there, this is all I care about. I do track but dont worry too much about it.

It does make me happy when I see my relevant keywords in the top five though. But I know some that just keep checking all day long to see where they are.

i donno how long it has been happening because i basically only had a vague idea of SEO....

but i typed in some keywords and shocked to find my page first rank or in the 1st page at the worst.

i dont know how this happened. i just focused on driving traffic to the site all this time, so i really dont know what caused this to happen.

Because I'm a professional writer my approach to SEO is always the same - using the key words, phrases and density my clients provide to me in text that is interesting to their readers. One recent success of mine involved moving a website up from a Google PR-3 to a PR-5 relatively quickly by dramatically increasing the amount of interesting and useful content on the website. It is an official city website in Louisiana and I don't think I've been a member here long enough to give links to it in a post, but if anybody is interested in seeing what was done they can send me a private message. Thanks.

I struggle to find free sources for backlinks and buying links can get expensive.

I've seen a great success in Seo. But yes, in the initial stages, it has been a pain. Due to the continuous optimization, I've ranked the website top for targeted keywords in all major search engines.

i did very little to seo optimization on my pages except changing the url form. like if you go to the site, there are no descriptions nothing. just a 5 word title with a video on it.

I rank #1 in all the big search engines for a lot of my keywords on the most successful website I have. On other websites I have, I also rank #1 on my keywords, so I think I can call it success..

My experience with SEO is very good, and it's good to see the results. It keeps me motivated.

On the whole I have had a good relationship with SEO :p
Instead of keyword maximising lots I just write the content as I would have normally and then added a tags section to each article. I also try and interlink with other pages on my site that are relivant.

Getting backlinks to my site is easy because I visit other websites with users asking for help and I give them a link to my site to get the answers that they want.

SEO takes a while but is worth it in my opinion.
