I'm totally new to web site development and I plan to learn as fast as possible. After browsing through internet, I found out that there are quite number of good templates (either free or commercial) with Photoshop psd file and html files. How hard is it to modify those files? Is it going to be a lot of pain? Thanks.
Some of it is determined by the type of software you are going to use. I find it easier for me to look at templates for ideas, and maybe use some of the images, rather than to just use the template itself. templates always seem to be put together differently than I want them, or think they should be. Learn html and css first, then worry about managing templates.
I agree, it's harder if you don't know the syntax of the coding you want to use. I taught myself CSS in under a week using online tutorials. It shouldn't take you long either!
Same here. I learned everything from online tutorials. Here is a great one. http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp
