how hard to build a site like proxy.org

Um, ghost, thats a proxy, that isnt a proxy list like proxy.org.

its really easy, there are tons of php proxy scripts / cgi out there just google it.

I built mine from scratch. Took several days, but wasn't that hard. If you have a pretty good understanding of PHP and Javascript then it's not hard at all

To build anything as good as proxy.org is impossible because a copy of something is normally never as good as the original and would take many years of building up traffic and proxys listed on your site.

Its simple to create a proxy.

 

He's not talking about a proxy. He's talking about a site like proxy.org...

 

Yeah he's talking more something like a topsite. You can easly find a topsite script somewhere and advertise it and get proxy owners to list their proxy at your topsite.

 

I think a lot of people are using the advark topsite, but i'm sure there is something along the lines of proxy.org if you look hard enough

 

Yeah as Louis said most of the topsites use the advark topsite script, this script is different to proxy.org though because they use a custom made script.

 

I have it under good authority that proxy.org will be coming down very soon. I cannot comment on the specifics, but I can tell you that it will be big news.

 

Why would it be coming down? The guy makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year from the site.
