Well, it depends on what you are asking. If you are asking about the process, it is usually very simple. Both you and the buyer agree on the price which he pays you. You then push the domain name to him and that is a done deal. However if you asking about whether it is easy to get a buyer, it would all depend on the domain name in question (is it relevant or seemingly valuable in the eyes of the potential buyers), are they willing to pay the price which you want and also dumb luck (you offer it at the right time when the particular buyer is eyeing for such a domain name).
It could be extremely easy or impossible. List a $1,000 domain for $1, you'll sell it immediately, list a $1, for $1,000 you'll never sell it! All depends on your pricing.
ussualy is not impossible, just damn hard...yes...depends on your pricing, and also the resonance of domain.
WOW what a question. There is no answer for this one. As it will depend on the domain name itself. If you have premium domain name it is not hard to sell. Then if you have a premium domain name and you are asking too much then it is hard to sell. Lets assume you are asking a descent price then also it depends where you sell it. Because we cannot forget scammers Deciding the payment mode. and other stuff also. You have to make sure that the domain name is transferable. Otherwise it will become more hard to sell a domain name that cannot be transferred.
It's not that difficult if you're at the right place. The number of domain name investors are increasing so it should get easier.
If you just want to get rid of the domain then it's not that hard. Just list it at ebay or here at a low price. If you want a fair price for the domain you will first need to establish the fair market value of the domain. I recommend afternic's appraisal service for this. Overall I would state it is hard to get the fair market value of a domain since there are only two categories of buyers for domains, those who need to use the domain and those that speculate in domains. A domain speculator does not pay fair market value since he needs to earn a profit when he sells. Those who need to use it are fewer in number and hard to find. gene
All great replies to a question with no easy answers. I have given green rep to as many as DP would allow. Let me add my 2 cents... Selling domains takes effort. Buyers don't usually beat a path to your door UNLESS you have a great domain, as someone pointed out above. Due to reports of high profile domains sales, some people have this misconception that as soon as you put a domain out for sale, they will sell for hundreds or thousands of dollars. This is far from reality. But not impossible. To sell a domain, you need to market it, give it the exposure so it is seen by potential buyers. If you can show him/her how the domain can make money, you increase your chances of selling it.
