I have never got listed, submitting 20 different sites, some information sites, some commercial sites, the worst thing is if you look at some of the sites that got accepted years ago, they are terrible!
Thanks for your sharing. I do have our company's address on almost every pages. Now the question is can I still submit again when I have applied for incluison into another category already?
I have given up on getting listed, I think it has been 3 or 4 years. If there was a way to pay for a listing I would, but that does not seem possilbe either, so I have moved on.
If you go up a level until you find an editor, then click on their homepage and find their contact info, worked for me!
I suspect alot of the factor difficulty depends on a sites content, it's added value to a user and whether you fill a gap in the existing DMOZ content. I have noticed targetting a local page can help you gain access. I have certainly noticed a DMOZ listing helps influence a sites credibility with Google, particularly with gaining keyword association.
I've been waiting for over 6 months for one of my sites to get listed. The description is objective, but nothing happens. I have 10 sites and just two of them have been listed. With all the editors I would not believe that the problem isn't too many links a day. ...and for Agent000... Life goes on... that's true, but if your site get listed in Dmoz it's not just going to get listed in one site, but probably hundreds of sites within a couple of months. All search engines loves Dmoz and sites listed in their directory. Higher PR and higher positions in the SE. Life will go on in a better way if your site's listed in Dmoz.
