I havent tried clickbank as yet but have found an ebook im interested in that sels for $47 and i get 50%, i get about 2000 impressions on my site a day wich are mostly targeted. What are the chances of me getting just one conversion a day. How many impressions does it normaly take you guys to convert? I know its difficult to say how well it will do without knowing the exact details, but im just after a rough idea. Thanks in advance.
I would say you have a good chance of converting one per day with 2000 targeted visitors. May aswell give it a shot anyway for a few weeks see how it goes and if not try something else gl
Depends how you promote it and what niche it is. Avg clickbank conversion ratio for the better products I would say is around 1%
If you really get 2000 targeted visitors and you are not selling, the problem lies in your salescopy.
2000 impressionas is not bad. I recommend you to presell on your page. Do not link directly to the product with just a textlink or a banner ad. Provide some usefull information on your page, tell your visitors the benefits of using such a product. Make a personal approach. That will convert. If your visitors are targeted and you find a product which will interrest them, its likely you get at least one sale a day. Say 200 of 2000 visitors read your recommendation and are redirected to the sales page. There is a high chance at least one of them will buy if the product suits their needs. Find a quality product with a good sales copy. Read through the page and ask yourself if you would buy. Once you made your first sale, you are in the game and if you optimize your page and work more on your marketing you will always get better results.
2000 visitors a day should get you something. You should usually see a sale from at least every 200 clicks through to a product, so if from 2000 visitors a day you can get 10% to click through, you should have your sale.
Like cenny said... presell. A good presell page can increase your conversions so long as you do it well. You'll want to make sure your "click here for more info" affiliate link is woven into the conversation on the page and flows naturally rather than screaming CLICK ME SO I MAKE MONEY!!! That's the problem a lot of dudes have. What also works is to put a video on the page showing the guts of the product. done a lot of very successful promotions with that tactic. http://www.jingproject.com/ great stuff there and it's free. But you don't have to make your own, you can just get a non-branded video from Youtube or something and embed it in the page. (By "non-branded" I mean a video without a URL in it)
The conversion of 1% is a myth. It's a "goal" people in the industry as a whole want to achieve. MOST conversions are between .2% and .5%, but again this all depends on the market and how targeted the prospects are.
Ok thanks for all the information so far, but could anyone private me a link to their landing page or a good example of one please. The only sales pages i have seen seem to be 'BUY NOW!' bold fonts and bright colour pages that look pretty spammy to me. Are these what sell or what? Surely a good marketing copy is a lot more subtle,no?
