    Hi,

I have a doubt about how search engines treats about sud domains? Especially How google treats sud domains? my doubts are

1)Will they treat the sub domain as a seperate domain?
2)Will the new pages, link building, content updation doing for the sub domain will have credits to the main domain?
    3) what is the ultimate purpose of keeping subdomains rather thank keep it in the one of the "folders" in the main domain?

    Please explain me in detail.

    1) subdomains are treated as a seperate domain
    2) No it will not unless you add a link to the subdomain from your homepage (to give it some PR, but it will still have a lower PR than the main domain
    3) To my knowledge, there are no differences

yes subdomains treated as seprate doamin. so its better you use SEF mod for your site and pages. but for big modules, like forum or classified use only subdomain, not for contact us etc...
