Will be deemed as a new page or an existing page with new content?

As long as the page name is the same, of course it will be viewed as an existing page. :)

I mean even if you overwrite the existing page with new content but keep the url the same.

It will just appear as a page update/fresh content added.

Will get re-spidered and the new version added to Googles cache next time it updates it.

It doesn't matter if you added one word or redesigned the whole page...Google will view it as an update to an existing page.
