How Google penalizes you for too frequent crashes and IP changes

First, Lunarpages is the worst ever webhosting company that I have experienced with. Never have a even think of try. Trust a DP member here please.

Since this February the frequent crash nightmare has never left me, despite the fact that they have moved my sites to different new servers and new datacenters free of charge and gave me many different stories for the crashes. Now, my sites are in the Irene database center, and I hope it will function well and stop torturing me.

With no doubt, new visitors were driven away with such an incredible server malfunction.

But I would like to know how Google will penalize me, if my sites kept going unresponsive too frequently in a day (sometimes the crash happened just between minutes) and IP addresses changed three times in these two or more months? (PR is normally updated in June, right?)

    Many thanks!

If you sites go down often then you cannot rank up in keywords.

Why don't you tell your host to piss off and move your junk to hostgator like everyone should host at? lol

Very very frustrated, as I have dedicated too much time!

I gave it the last chance.

I have noticed this issue! $#!@

Yes, your ranking can be affected in Google if there will be frequent server down where your site is hosted. Because Google can't put a site in top of its SERP which is not opening most of the times as it can create bad user experience.

I had a Lunarpages plan for a few years 2008-2011 but couldn't take the frequent downtimes anymore. SO moved my sites to a new hosting plan and requested a pro-rated refund from LP.

Its a good decision that you moved out of LP.
For your second question, once your site is up and running without any problem, Google will remove the penalty if imposed.

They ignored my refund question, but worked to "solve" the problem. It is now in their Irvine database center (to correct the error I made in the first post), and they said the new hardware will be better. For the sake of all those migration hassle, I trusted them one more time to check for the following days.

    Where did you move to?

    How is voxel?

I will try to explain why you get penalized. Is not really penalization, is more unable to update and your data is not accessible so the system drops your points. IP changes is another topic but in short it doesn't matter unless you changing IP every day. Witch Google will know if you use the same pool or not. I switched from ServInt (Dedicated Server) to HostGator (Dedicated Server) I can't be happier. Good support, quick respond time as well.

I am still undergoing the ordeal in Luarpages.

Someone please recommend a reliable hosting company. Should I try Hostgator?

    Thank you!
