How google make money

I have been wondering for a long time, how google make money ?
It`s free to use.. only sponsored links are paid. So, do they earn only from AdWords ??? or, how else ?

 

Pretty much.

Adwords is a bit like pay as you go mobile phones. You put $100-$200 in their trust, which goes on advertising on their forums. I don't know how much google take per click, but they will give a percentage of that to the publishers, and keep the rest. When that goes down to $0, the advertiser tops up again.

The other thing to take into consideration is interest. Google has the money between when the advertiser puts the money in and when google pays out the publisher. That in itself is a fair wad of cash (considering many people will never earn $100, it's free money for google).

I understand that, rhyswynne, but, is it the ONLY way how do they make money ??
Their company is one of biggest on the world, I can`t imagine that money comes from advertisers only .. (I'm talking in millions of $ per month)

 

ADvertisers mostly IMO

 

hard to imagine that advertisers are spending millions of dollars each month on search engine..

so, are you sure their main income comes from advertisers ??

 

Your kidding ! Google and Adwords are massive, the internet is small but also goes on for ever and a day.

yes its purely from advertisement, just like all the tv channels out there, who do you think pays for that? advertisements is a multi-billion dollar business its no surprise.

Google has as many ways to make money as there are days in a year. Google is a marketing company pretending to be a search engine.

They make money by data mining users info and helping third parties sell products to their surfers.

They make money off selling souls, of course.

 

Almost 95% from adwords. It is very simple I spent daily 200 dollar to keep only one keyword for 1 website. Imagine there is so many country with so many business. I think their income is millions a day.

 

I prefer ask to my self ¿how Google doesn't make money?
In the Google Ads, they pay to the people A LITTLE percentage of the real cost. They have thousands of millions of pages with more than 3 ads! Let's make some fast calculations. They win (minimally) US$100 by month with every web page. So, 100 * 10,000,000 (but I think Google have more) web pages is US$10,000,000,000 by month!!! and US$3,650,000,000,000 by year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, they are cashing for the copyrights (they are in all magazines every day) they sell MILLIONS of t-shirts, caps, and everything.
The reason because Google doesn't have more money than Bill Gates is because Google donate a lot of cash! Also, compare the mail of Google (Gmail) with Hotmail from Microsoft. Gmail gives 2GB to their users, and Hotmail just 2MB and later 250MB!!!!!!

They are one of the biggest advertisement agencies in America. It's not just Adwords. Just look at Youtube, 4th most visited site on the web, do you realize how much a company will pay them to get their video on the front page?

They earn a lot of money from advertisement but they also spend money, they own a lot of the top websites on the internet and they didn't come cheap.

When a company thinks about advertising on the web, the first thing that should come to their mind is Google.

 

almost 90% of internet surfers go to search engines to find what they are looking for... and google lead them...
