Any ideas ?
Um they have lots of powerful computers to check all the sites running google ads to spot suspicious patterns
this is question like a : what is algorytm of googlebot script Some things are simple... - proxy clicks - the same IP clicks - they know what is natural... i heard that 10-20% visits people using firefox is normall - higher or lower is suspicious... thats can work with many things... everything what is not natural and looks strange is suspicious - complains from advertisers about 0% ROI from adsense clicks (they know which site was getting this clicks) - many many others... as i said the simplest things... which i know ;P Regards Mark
And they do manage to review many sites. I've been in contact with my AdSense rep many times concerning a particular site, so they must be reviewing.
When you're dealing with a company as big as Google, you can be sure that they're doing all they can to stop fraudulent clicks, especially since a lot of people are dropping out of CPC because of it recently.
Actually, I'd say about 14% of cheaters do know how do it, considering this is the normally accepted rate of click fraud, give or a take a percentage point.
Don't forget that Google has generated billions dollar of income, so then they can spend back at least millions to fight click fraud. They spend on developing smart automated programs and on human to manually review every site. How automated program manages to do that is like the work of lie detector. The latest lie detector is 80% accurate. When you cheat, you create a pattern. The more you cheat, the clearer they see you. Hmm... don't hold on to me. It is blackbox to all outsiders.
At first I thought that this thread has info on how google knows some is cheating...lolz. Anyways we need not worry about Googles' process of knowing. Unless you have intentions of competing with Google or defeating their system, I dont see the need to bother about that when our main purpose online is to earn money, right?
They watch you every second of the day. Secret camera's are placed in your monitor, so they know exactly what your doing. The Google Secret Service comes knocking at your door and let you 'disappear' if you dont follow the rules. That's the way Adsense works, so obey the rules...
