You can't use Adsense or anything like that on your wordpress.com blog. If you want to put ads then get a paid host as well as domain and install wordpress on it. - Digital -
wordpress.com doesnt support add feature... move your site to a paid host or a different free host and den add ads...
You can't place them on wordpress.com sub domains. You can install wordpress onto your own domain and then ad the ad code inside the Edit Themes feature
if you are interested in earning from adsense using a free hosted blog, try blogger cause wordpress keep all the adsense money and dont feel like sharing with blog owners
blogger is the best option for free.. wordpress presently dont have any integration of adds and will never have may be.. get a paid hosting or switch to blogger. ---------------------------------- mb.

You can only use wordads, an advertising network program given by wordpress to its wordpress hosted users to earn some money and gain the knowledge of earning.You can also use cpm ads which are cost per mille ads i.e. cost as fixed to be paid per thousand impressions on your blog like tribal fusion.
You have to use your own Domain and Hosting on Wordpress and your site would look like "yoursite.com" then you have full control of using anything.
If your serious about having a successful blog, you really need to be in full control of everything. Get a cheap host to start off with, install wordpress. Then you will find many different types of plugins to suit your adsense ads. Until then you won't be able to display adsense ads.
