I've tried using Twitter to promote affiliate products and found that I got a couple of sales here and there, but it was not a regular money maker. How good do you think Twitter REALLY is for promoting affiliate links? My feeling is that buying a bunch of followers and then spamming them with affiliate links doesn't work very well. And it's hard to get followers that are real true followers and not just people you have added who have followed you back and not just followers you have paid for. I'm starting to think I'm wasting my time on Twitter and should concentrate on marketing elsewhere. So does anyone here actually use Twitter effectively some decent money and not just chump change?
"buying a bunch of followers and then spamming them with affiliate links " That will definitely NOT work. Maybe in the beginning it may have worked, but not now. There are two approaches that work now. 1. Legit - Real person tweeting with natural following and followers (can be assisted with twitter tools like tweet adder used in a non spammy manner). 2. @mentions - Take advantage of the newish @mentions tab in twitter by searching for tweet with keywords and then doing a tweet with the @profilename and your message (can be automated with tweet attacks) I currently use #2 and get thousands of clicks to my site daily
its a bit difficult for promoting affiliate links, however u may add ur twitter profile to all ur other social bookmarking profiles, so that ur links automatically get posted to twitter when u bookmark them on other social bookmarking sites.
Do you have a website? Twitter is a great way to get traffic to your site/blog...and if you monetize it you will make money! Make sure you get real followers...don't buy those crappy followers!!!
If you use Twitter correctly it is really for making money, your tweets must be interesting, unique and you must update them. You can advertise your products and in this case you can promote your business, On the other hand it depends on how many followers you have.More followers you have the more chances your site has to get traffic or your business to promote.
People rarely click on masked links.First gaining your followers trust is important so constantly tweet about every interesting thing you find in the web in this way people will like you and you will get more and more followers who can later become potential customers
Its not useless ,If you can use the right strategy ,you can earn plenty. it only become useless when a useless person uses it
There are tons of people that advertise affiliate links. Some people automate it or something to post the same things over and over every so often.
