They do seem to have some good advertisers to choose from on a range of categories including a few that pay be the click. Has anyone had any success with them?
I use them for pet affiliates. Have not made a sale yet, but my traffic is not too good as of yet soo...
I use them for a site...seem good to me, I've been paid once via direct deposit...They have a lot of datafeeds.
I use shareasale, linkshare and CJ. Shareasale is a good program and they pay promptly. Linkshare sucks royally, so don't bother with that one. CJ is one of the best out there and they carry a lot of the big money affiliates.
Some of the main differences between SAS and CJ. SAS is much smaller - CJ has not only more merchants but bigger brand names. SAS is parasite-free - CJ has been working to clean up their act but still has some. SAS links, banners and cookies are less likely to be targeted by ad blockers, anti-spyware programs and firewalls. Ton of these programs block CJ. SAS datafeeds are free - CJ charges 250 (I think) unless you make a certain amount in sales. Hope this helps and best of luck!
The main difference is that if you have a new site without much traffic then ShareASale will be the best approache and CJ would be just wasting your time. This is because I first joined shareasale and didn't receive any sales for about 7 months. I also done the same for CJ and after 6 months I had found that they closed my account and I had manually added over 300 links to my site from them which then became dead. It took me about a month to look at each program, to join them and then to ad them to my site. Six months is not much time to get links on your site and to promote their products unless you have a site that is already receiving lots and lots of traffic. I have been paid by ShareASale twice and I am nearly meeting my payout level again, which I have set at $150.
shareasale pays on time. parasite free network, the owner is very responsive, many niche merchants to choose from...new tools makes the affiliate's job easier. I've been promoting shareasale a lot recently.
I've been with them for well over 2 years now and I find them to be one of my best networks to use as an affiliate.
From a merchant perspective - Shareasale is great. Inexpensive set-up compared to some of the other networks. From an affiliate perspective - have to hunt & dig for programs that will convert. Some programs have active affiliate managers while others listed there and seem quite dormant!
I find shareasale reporting to be horrible. It's very hard to firgure out how your ppc ads are doing when you can't even break down your report by day, just by month.
From the merchants/AM's point of view SAS doesn't have the greatest interface and the reporting functions are complete pants...I hate SAS when it comes to monthly report time...Nonetheless many of the biggest affiliates in the business use it...
