how good is adwords for small businesses. i have heard that it is not that effective for small businesses.
That all depends on how you make your ads, how much you pay per click etc.. If you pay say 50p per click and the recommended price is 70p and above you won't do that well but if you go over the recommended amount you will do very well. It all depends on what your budget is.
you read this thread. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...pYGRDw&usg=AFQjCNFZ1wSS-X8sZPbg3T-JIk4lMjQp_g.
I'd say that it's very good for small businesses. To a large extent it gives you a level playing field to compete on.
I think it depends on your niche and your competitors. If you have large competitors it might be more difficult and expensive. Anyway the good thing about Adwords is that it lets you spend as much as you want. You can always set a budget just to try if it works for a specific period of time. On the other hand, if you are a small business that provides services or products within a specific area you can always target your ads to that area, and even choose keywords containing that area (that might reduce the competition for those keywords, and therefore the CPC).
to say Adwords is no good for small businesses is wrong becuase it does work very well for many, there are too many variables to give a definite answer to the success of an Adwords campaign. If you mean the costs are too high in relation to a small business then there are always ways to refine that campaign to make it cheaper if given the professional advise.
It all depends which business you have there. I use google adwords mostly to get traffic to my landing page and then promote some good offers to my IMers... and I have never used adwords for other purposes...
AdWords for small biz is great! With one warning: TURN OFF CONTENT NETWORK when you are just getting started. 90% of the people we work with, coming from a bad experience w/ AdWords, is due to their leaving (or putting) the content network on. They end up blowing thru their entire budget in a short period. This leaves a bad taste in their mouth. Always, always, always create two different campaigns... ONE for Search Network and another ONE for Content Network. Helps you control ad spend effectively without killing your ad budget.
It works great if you know what you are doing. Google hates affiliates, so if you actually run the business, it will be easier.
it does not matter if you have a small business or not what matters is that you have aorevious experience of adwords or not.if you are new then dont put your daily budget very high.you will be bankrupt the same day.try minimizing the budget and when you have a good experience then only increase
Google Adwords is effective for all kind of business but you must understand it. It not just write an ad and insert keywords expecting you will get rich overnight. Every campaign must be study well before running!
As it was mentioned above adwords will work for any business. The thing to remember is that you have to make your ads effective. You can not just throw some words together and hope to be successful. Poking and hoping usually winds up with a pregnancy or a disease. So, if your gonna make your ads work, then make sure that your poking with a bit of knowledge or you are going to get the latter.
in my opinion google adwords is the best and most useful for different business. small business is a kind of business that they are effective but you should be professional because a ads should be research before running . google adwords is used more in affiliate marketing and website.
It depends... Nature of your business, Impressive website,Demand for your service or product and your budget for adwords. And above all its useful only if your business will get more customers online.
Google adwords can be one of the most profitable revenue streams for any business, small or large. If you run a small business the likelyhood is that either you or a team member will initiate your campaigns. If this is the case I would suggest that you invest some time in reading about adwords strategies. Google "Adwords techniques" and you should come across a wealth of info. Also the great thing about adwords is that you can set a daily budget, so while your starting out you can limit your spend. Hope that helps.
