Hi, I want to get some feedback from users who sell products through Clickbank. What are some of the best ways and worst ways to promote the products and where? Does anyone know of a better affiliate company than Clickbank to use for affiliate products? Thanks, Socialii
It is a very broad question and the answer will depends on your niche, commission % that you would pay, your own advertisement targeting other affiliates, and many other factors. Also not sure if any big time pros will actually bother to answer at all. Besides that could only create more competition for them.
I've made hundreds of dollars with Clickbank. You can get promote popular products if you already have targeted traffic, or go after the niche products that don't have much competition. Anyway there is still money to be made
The biggest problem I have with CB products is the required 60 day return policy. I've had a number of what I assume were "thefts". When I say theft, I mean the got the product then wanted a refund (and you can't exactly return a digital product).
Yes, that is a big problem but we have to accept those losses... for some other buyers that policy is the reason they buy with confidence.
Clickbank is good if you can drive targeted traffic to the landing pages. Some of the best ways to market is through e-mail marketing. This can be done by setting up a squeeze page and driving traffic to the squeeze page. The purpose of the squeeze page is to collect e-mail addresses so you can market to these customers as much as you like without spending any more money on marketing. The best way to increase sign up rates for your squeeze page is to offer free incentives like a "top 10 guide to xxx" or something like that. This will increase your sign up rate big time. Other successful ways to market is through article marketing and PPC. Clickbank is really easy to get set up with, you can market anybody's product within minutes and anybody can do it!!
I agree w/ Philoon that seems to be an issue w/ clickbank. Also, it seems pretty simple for digital thieves to get their hands on your products from clickbank. If you're planning on going that route, protect yourself (and your investment)!
I had a very good experience with my first clickbank product promotions. I made some decent money. I was doing everything manually and using only free ways for products promotions, placements, advertisements etc. It took me a few weeks to start seeing some money coming in but it was worth it.
One more thing the more popular product you are promoting the more tougher competition you will be facing. Google ad words are not worth for a start up unless you have inherited your uncle's gold mine haha.
I found in general the most difficult thing in making money from CB products is to drive good quality targeted traffic that converts.
I have not made much money thru clickbank frankly. They are hard to sell for me. The landing pages for a lot of them are so spammy looking
Clickbank is the best thing i have ever come up with. You need 120 visitors for a 2-digit sale unlike adsense where 100 visitors make 0.3$
I believe Clickbank is becoming "too good." There are a lot of new affiliates going to Clickbank promoting high gravity products, which makes it harder to create sales for the products because of the increasing amount of competition. If you have a list though, you can make a lot with Clickbank products.
I heard someone get 200$ from click bank but don't get over 100$ from adsense. But for clickbank, you have to be active to choose right products and choose the right time
Clickbank is as good as any other affiliate network. However the key to success is to sort through the dross and find the few really good products that are listed on there. Otherwise you will get a lot of refunds and you will damage your reputation as well if you promote poor quality products.
Amazon is good for its inhouse affiliate program, the problem with Clickbank for affiliates is the requirement that 3 forms of payment must be made before they are paid, to prevent the affiliates making purchases themselves or from their friends to earn a commission
That is because Clickbank is growing larger. I do think it's good that they require three forms of payment because you can have the options.
