how good are .cc domains?

I have a domain offer but it is a .CC. Rich Keyword domain 140,000+ searches a month.

How good or effective is a .CC domain and how valuable would it be in future if I build it. Any Input would be good.

    Thanks

I don't see them ranking very much, but its probably more because there aren't many well developed cc domains. If you can get it for cheap, any high search volume keyword domain is good imo.

    I'd stick to a .com/.net/.org/.me/.us though.

As a domain name only .cc has very little value, many high volume single word .cc drop all the time. They don't even get $5 at TDNAM. (eg. masturbate.cc and jelly.cc are both currently available at tdnam closeouts)

For development they can work okay, google says they don't discriminate about different extensions (unless it is for geo-targetting) so they can rank as well as any other. eg. google cd covers and see who is #1

The .cc suffix is convenient because it is short and easy to say. However, not all Web hosting companies support .cc domains and they are not offered by many domain name registrars. Therefore, it is usually better to use an alternate domain name with a .com, .net, or .org suffix instead of selecting a .cc domain name.

The ranking will not depend on the domain name and moreover on the domain name extension. You need to understand that. That is very important thing. At the same time I have to say that content is the king and that can improve your ranking

that is a great example of cdcovers.cc
another one i like and use is favicon.cc

i like .cc domains because they are easy to say, and type in

developed they are just as good as .com,
but domain's alone they don't seem to be worth that much yet
