I Have a blog and it its designed around and affiliate program. The website is very unique and well designed, it is totally covert, I am putting a lot of time into making the website standalone even though it is designed around an affiliate program. It will have unique, relevant, useful information and legitimate blog posts and site structure, with of course a underlying subliminal focus of obviously making me money. I was wondering, how often should I relate my blog posts to an affiliate. for instance, I have an acne medicine affiliate who offers me $35 for each sign up of a free trial. I have an entire section devoted to dermatology health and will be having unique relevant content written. How frequent should I have the blog posts directed to my affiliate without overwhelming my visitors?
I would say a post a week is "good", but you will have to gauge your traffic and find a number that works for you. Since it sounds like you are starting off and the blog is relatively new though, I think once a week is plenty.
I apologize for not being descriptive enough. I plan on posting once a week per section, so 5 times a week. but my question is, how frequently out of those weekly posts should write an article selling my affiliates. so say I am writing about acne. I am going to have articles written about acne, and then I am going to have articles written about acne that will lead to a sell of the affiliate such as "blah blah blah, and that is why you should try this new product...". so basically how often should my blog posts be focused just on upselling my affiliates. every other non selling blog post, or every third non selling blog post? I can have every blog post I make directed at an affiliate or people will stop reading my content.
Ugh, Yes, How often should my blog articles focused solely on selling my affiliates product? Obviously I cant have every blog articles main focus to sell my affiliate stuff or no one will take the website seriously. for example having an article about acne, and giving the ready tips on acne in an article and at the end be like "blah blah blah, and a product I highly recommend to get rid of acne is "X product" with a link to my affiliate"
