How frequently site content should be updated?

Hi Friends,

As I heard apart from link buildings and keywords, Google need content of site should be updated regularly.

What is strategy for updated content?
Do we need to add extra pages?
Extra pages can increase rank for existing pages?

Do we need to add more content in existing pages after regular interval?
How frequently existing pages should be updated?

Please provide all advise related to updating content for site on regular interval.

I think they mean more content. updated means if it deals with current events. it doesn't mean to keep changing it.

 

You do want to add content regularly to your site. The frequency of your content updates depends upon if you are writing long articles or just short passages.

Whatever frequency you decide on, try and stick to it as well because your readers will come to expect a certain level of posting from you as well.

 

Updating one's site for once in a week is Okay with original content will boost your traffic and PR too.

 

Its good for your website if you add pages regularly. Google also visit website regularly and fastly if the website already many backlinks.

 

Its good if u add page daily.

 

I think weekly updates for static websites and every 3 day for blogs is enough to keep your SERP stable.

Basically there's no limit as to how frequent you want to update or add new contents. As I know, the more the better.

 

i suggest every 2 month it should be updated

Actually it is bit difficult to have change in content very frequently.
I have site to sell some services (It is something like to sell some products from online store). I can have some more products every month but do not have more content to change for home page other pages which are already added one.

Please advise what should I change for sites like online shopping cart.

You can update your website by adding a few pages everyday, every week or every month. Fresh contents that are added regularly will keeps visitors to come back to your website to see what is new. Websites must continually update to meet the increasing demands of your audience.

Make frquent changes atleast in a wee is very good to get indexed fast by the google. Yo ucan see many site like newspaper and this forum crawling daily bcz of daily updation

 

Everyday always better. IMO. I usually add 30-40 pages per day on one site. Once I added 400 pages in a day. Forums could add thousands of pages a day.

 

To keep a good website, and to keep with visitors, I would add content on a daily basis, but in the case for the Search Engines, then once of twice a week, would be good enough.

In my opinion, The search engines also like to see the people coming back, and help good sites; with good ranks.
