How Free webhosting survive without getting a penny?

    I am curious to know how Free web hosting survives? If they are serving their ads on the website then they will earn money from that. there are many free hosting provides ad free hosting service. How come they provide this service?

    How they provide the service without getting a penny?

    Many of the free hosting turns to a paying hosting plan. That covers the cost in many of them.

    Advertising is also an important revenue source. If these sites can generate enough traffic and get enough links, they can earn large amounts through advertising alone.
