I signed up for AdSense in May 05. I didn't really start using it properly until November, so my income from May to November was around $1 per month. Ouch. Starting in November I worked harder on getting people not to just visit but to visit and return. RSS feeds, better update schedule, interacting with comments -- I even created a forum for my readers to interact with one another. Now my income is stable and climbing ever day. Just stick to it -- focus on writing good content over driving traffic, for now. If you show your site has at least 6 months of REGULAR activity, you'll have a better chance of gaining return traffic. If you try to focus on traffic now, they'll visit once and never return.
my earning for April 80% lower than my March 2006. And as of this day my total May earning is 10% lower than my April. Oh God. What should I do with this. My sites stats are dropping since April.
My earnings for April $9,460.33, awaiting the check arrival need to pay off the car loan. This month so far already looking better, 14.3k so far looking for 18+ if everything stays the same
I would take all income reports with a grain of salt. The few insiders I've talked to said that there are a LOT of people who falsely report their earnings on boards for months in hopes of bringing out their own e-book or subscription-based website telling others how they did it. Imagine if I started lying today and said that I had my first $1000 month, then next month said I made $1500, then $1700 then $3000 then $5000 an did this for a year (not very long really). People start building trust, and then I'd say "Wow, I'm doing so well I might as well tell YOU how to do it." I could be making $10 a month during this time, just investing in marketing myself. If 1000 users bought my $50 guide, I'd be ahead for the year. From my knowledge of local AdSense publishers in my area (I get coffee with a few once a month to discuss ideas and such), most make about $2-$9 per hour they invest in their sites. That is below the poverty level in our area I write down, every day, how many hours I spend on my sites. This tells me, in the long run, if it is worth my time. I look at the first 3 years of this business as an education, so making no money is fine for me. YOu make no money from 4 years of college, so why should learning how to be a good webmaster be any different?
You know I would show the earning on my account, but what's the point. I'm not looking for recognition. If you looking at my profile I never advertise any newsletters or sold anything even closely related to my business model. I share my earnings for the heck of it, to show yes it is possible to make 10k and even 20k a month with adsense. And it is not my only source of revenues, I do have affiliate sales that bring additional 10 to 20% of adsense revenue.
~800$, this is more than average salary in my country , and adsense isn't my only source of income(I'm afraid of getting banned :/)
Hmm, some nice earnings dis month. Nice to hear people getting more from adsense this days. I only earned 400$ this month, about 20% of total income this month. Well, my adsense in taking a backseat as my business model is gearing up. Regards, Admans.
